Mario Maurer Shows His Style of Thai Boxing

For the nth times now, Mario Maurer visited the Philippines! This year, he made two visits - one last June for the Toy Convention in the SMX Complex and the other one was just this Saturday, August 6, 2016 to promote his country Thailand. 

The Tourism Authority of Thailand organized an event dubbed as "Experience Thailand with Mario Maurer" wherein they showcased the beauty and culture of the country to the Filipinos via their ambassador Mario Maurer. 

 After gracing the media for his presscon, Mario then met and greeted his fans. He even played games together with them. And one of his interactive games with his fans was the Thai Boxing!

Mario revealed that one of his sports is Thai Boxing! Yes, this is also the popular Muay Thai which every Filipino knows.

As describe by Wikipedia, Muay Thai is a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This physical and mental discipline which includes combat on shins is known as "the art of eight limbs" because it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins, being associated with a good physical preparation that makes a full-contact fighter very efficient.

After Mario showcased the steps, the chosen fans on the stage will imitate the moves of Mario. Mario then will chose the best participant who perfectly replicated his steps. A lucky girl was chosen as the winner.
