Watch: Runner Rocky Meets the Professional Spartan US Trainer

The recently concluded 2017 Spartan Race Philippines is the country's one of the most anticipated running events. Though the race was not that easy as different obstacles were all along your way in addition to its high registration fee, the race was still successful and was supported by different runners not only from the Philippines, but from different countries as well.

Aside from the world class challenges and equipment, the marshals in each obstacle were also straight from the states! They were composed of professional fitness trainers, hardcore gym rats, crossfit experts, and members of the Spartan Race US community.

During the course, I have met one of these professionals. He is Leo Menge, a professional fitness enthusiasts from the United States and a member of the Spartan Race US Team. He was the marshal in the Spare Throw obstacle and later on joined the competitive category.

Right after I finished my race and before he take his turn, I got a chance to interview Leo. Yes, he is a regular Spartan Race participant for two years now. During my vlog interview, he shared how he prepare in every competition. He even revealed the hardest obstacle he encountered.

Here is Runner Rocky's interview with the professional Spartan Race US member, a foreign race marshal, MMA fighter, and fitness enthusiast Leo:

Leo revealed that the Spare Throw was the hardest obstacle in Spartan because very few can actually shot the spot. Therefore in his station, he was coaching the runners the right way in shooting the spot.

Great to meet you Leo and thanks for the interview! Congratulations for conquering another edition of the Spartan Race.

I wasn't able to congratulate and meet this man in the finish line because during his wave (the afternoon wave), we were already heading home. But for sure, he was able to finish the race strong and kicking in the finish line! Hope to see you on the next leg of the Spartan Race! 09/25/2017 (Runner Rocky)
